In a neighborhood in Idlib, 17-year-old “Noor” was a diligent student who dreamed of completing her high school education, but difficult economic conditions and family pressure to work prevented her from sitting for her final exams. Noor’s family reached out to the White Heart Association, aware of its support for students affected by conflict and crisis. After a complete assessment of the family’s situation, the association decided to cover school registration fees and provide essential educational supplies such as books, stationery, and uniforms.

Beyond financial support, the White Heart team provided academic guidance and mentoring sessions to help Noor manage her time between study and household responsibilities, and she was included in a support group with other students facing similar challenges.

Over the following months, Noor’s academic performance improved significantly, and her stress levels decreased thanks to the combined support of her family, peers, and the association. Her results in mid-term exams placed her among the top students in her class. Thanks to this comprehensive support, Noor rose from a place of despair to a clear sense of hope—gaining confidence and a solid vision for her academic future.

Noor now testifies that the support she received was not only financial but also a psychological boost and affirmation of her ability to change. She says, “White Heart gave me the chance to live my dream and prove to myself that circumstances are not the end but the beginning of a new success.”
